Inaugural Harvest Festival in Orange County

I am glad to be a part of the first-ever Harvest Festival in Orange County, California in the lovely city of Costa Mesa where the County Fairgrounds are located.

I've brought my books to Harvest Festivals in California in Pomona, Ontario, Del Mar and Ventura because many of the attendees are interested in clean, nutritious, allergen-free eating or have a friend or family member who is. I always meet several people who are very knowledgeable about healthy eating and many more eager to learn or know more about improving their diets and health.

For those of you who have been to a Harvest Festival before, you appreciate already how the Harvest Festival crew put on big arts and crafts festivals. They have strolling entertainment and stage shows/music with very talented performers. They have hundreds of vendors with a wide assortment of mostly hand-made products.They fill 2 big halls just like this one:

For their inaugural show in my hometown of Orange County, California, the Harvest Festival is having a 3-day event at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa on Friday, September 20th through Sunday, September 22nd. The hours on Friday are 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM with the same hours on Saturday and then from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on the Sunday, the final day.The address is 8 Fair Drive in Costa Mesa.


At this time of year, with kids back in school, I delight in any hint of Fall which can be a challenge in Southern California. But, Fall ushers in such special family occasions and it naturally becomes more difficult to enjoy the season and the special gatherings without eating some food and treats we wouldn't usually have. That's one of the reasons I enjoy talking with people about how they can eat clean and healthy while still enjoying delicious, nutritious meals, snacks and treats by using the recipes in my books. In fact, for a couple years now, I've been handing out a listing of all the holiday recipes for each book to everyone who purchases a book. My first book, Delightfully Free, has recipes for an entire Thanksgiving dinner (you supply the turkey!)

So, if you are looking for recipes for the season or need a meaningful gift for a family member or friend, consider one or both of my books. By the way, the recipes are great year round!

Del Mar this Weekend for Nourished Festival

The Gluten Free and Allergen Festivals are now "Nourished Festivals" and they continue to be a great place to discover the latest allergen friendly products and, of course, they are an ideal venue for my gluten-free, dairy-free, refined sugar-free, soy-free, yeast-free cookbooks, Delightfully Free & Even More Delightfully Free.  Their next show is this weekend in San Diego at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. The show runs from 10 am to 3 pm both days and I will be there at the authors table to meet you, discuss health and my cookbooks.

Celiac Disease National this Weekend

This weekend, May 5 and 6, is the 13th Annual Celiac Disease National Convention in Pasadena, California.  I'm pleased to be joining the convention again this year.  I'll be in booth 422 in the Expo Hall. The show runs two days, Saturday, May 5 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Sunday, May 6 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

I'm in Austin, Texas
